The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About close launcher tabs

Some links create a temporary tab to finally launch a desktop application leaving that tab open. This happens for applications like ZOOM and LINEAR and many others. This extension will close that tab once the application is launched.
