The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About CloneSweep for Threads
Item summary
Review suspected Threads impersonation accounts locally with explainable matches and direct profile links.
### Detailed description
CloneSweep narrows down the accounts you need to review when an unfamiliar Threads follower appears to imitate someone you already trust.
The extension analyzes a Threads JSON export from Meta Accounts Center entirely in your browser. It compares followed accounts as trusted originals against follower accounts, then presents plausible impersonation candidates for human review.
Key features
- Import followed accounts, followers, and block history from one export.
- Exclude exact mutual follows and previously blocked accounts.
- Compare display names and handles with deterministic rules.
- Show the evidence behind every result instead of only a risk score.
- Open direct Threads links for both the suspected account and its matched original.
- Select accounts individually or select every account in the current list.
- Copy selected accounts as one `@handle` per line.
- Download a Markdown review report with profile links, scores, and evidence.
Why install CloneSweep
- Spend less time comparing a large follower list by hand.
- Review explainable original-to-suspect matches instead of trusting a black-box decision.
- Keep imported account data in the current browser without sending it to an analysis server.
- Stay in control: the extension does not read or change Threads pages, and it never blocks or reports accounts automatically.
How to use
1. Download your Threads data as JSON from Meta Accounts Center.
2. Select the export folder in the extension popup.
3. Review the evidence and open the original and suspected profiles.
4. Copy the selected `@handle` list or download a review report.
5. Decide whether to block or report directly on Threads.
Limitations
- Profile photos, biographies, and follower counts missing from the export remain marked as unavailable.
- CloneSweep does not automate blocking, reporting, or data collection from Threads pages.
