The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Chrome Pals

Chrome Pals is a browser extension I built that lets you adopt and care for animated pixel-art pets that live right on your webpages. Each pet has its own personality behaviors — they wander around, get hungry, follow your cursor, and can be dressed up with accessories. Everything persists between sessions, so your pets are always waiting for you when you open a new tab. (open a web page in a new tab once you have turned your Chrome Pals on. If the pets don't appear, try refreshing the page).
