The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About ChatGPT Toolbox: Folders & Cleanup
Your useful chats should not disappear into an endless sidebar.
ChatGPT Toolbox adds local folders directly inside the familiar ChatGPT sidebar. Group launch plans, research, writing, or anything else in up to three levels—while every chat stays in native Recents and every ChatGPT Project stays untouched.
Why it feels better:
• Find important conversations by topic instead of scrolling by date
• Move one chat from its native menu, drag it into a folder, or organize many at once
• Create, rename, nest, reorder, and navigate folders without leaving ChatGPT
• Keep Recents as your timeline and folders as your personal structure
• Delete a folder without deleting, archiving, or moving any ChatGPT conversation
• Export a versioned JSON backup, restore it later, or clear all local folder data
Cleanup stays a separate, deliberate action. Select the exact conversations you want, review their titles, acknowledge that deletion cannot be undone, then follow progress with pause, stop, and retry controls. Moving chats into folders never triggers this deletion flow.
Privacy and security:
Folder names, title snapshots, and memberships are stored in chrome.storage.local. There is no extension account, cloud sync, advertising, analytics, or developer backend. The extension does not read conversation bodies, cookies, or passwords.
To avoid leaving dead local links behind, an unavailable-reference check runs at most once per account/workspace per day. It removes a local membership only after an explicit detail 404. The current ChatGPT access token is used temporarily in page memory for that read-only check and for separately confirmed permanent deletion; requests go only to chatgpt.com and the token is cleared after each operation.
Uninstalling clears local folders. Export backups regularly and store them safely because they contain folder names and chat titles.
