About Carn
Microsoft Learn units are long, and the first real questions arrive at the end of the module. By then, the start of the module has faded and anything you skimmed was never checked. Carn adds a few multiple-choice questions to each unit, placed after the sections they cover. Every page becomes a checkpoint, and knowing a question is coming gives you a reason to read closely.
What you get
- Questions written from the unit you are reading, most of them scenario or comparison questions
- The right answer and a short reason after every pick, including wrong ones
- Every unit you read saved as Markdown on your device, with export per module or all at once, ready for Notion, Obsidian or an AI notebook
- A side panel with an on/off switch, your Gemini usage and your library
- Light and dark themes that follow the Learn page
What you need
- Chrome or Edge on desktop
- A Gemini API key from Google AI Studio (Google offers a free tier for these keys)
Privacy
Carn has no account, no analytics and no server. Your key, your saved lessons and your answers stay in your browser. When questions are written, the lesson text is sent to Google's Gemini API with your key. Full policy: https://carn.rocks/privacy
Introduction pages are saved but not quizzed. Questions are written by an AI model and can be wrong, so treat Microsoft Learn as the source of truth. Carn is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft or Google.
