Calmchat: Live Chat Filter for YouTube

Calmchat cleans up YouTube live chat for viewers. It hides toxic, adult and spam comments on any stream you watch, so you can enjoy the chat again. You do not need to be the channel owner or a moderator. WHAT IT HIDES • Profanity and vulgar insults • Adult content and adult service ads • Hate speech and slurs • Threats and harassment • Spam: links, phone numbers, scams, profile bait and the same line posted again and again It understands English, Bangla and Hindi, in native script and typed in Latin letters, and it still catches words written to dodge filters, such as stretched letters, numbers in place of letters, masked letters and spaced out letters. BLOCK ANY WORD FROM THE CHAT Point at a comment and press the block button. The words of that comment appear as chips. Click one and every comment with that word is hidden from then on, on every stream. MUTE ANYONE Point at a comment and press the mute button. Everything that person writes disappears, on every stream, even if they change their handle. Undo any time. SEE WHAT WAS CAUGHT A live count, a breakdown by reason and a list of recently hidden comments. If something was caught by mistake, one click allows that word. YOUR RULES • Choose which kinds of comments to catch • Remove caught comments completely, or blur them and click to read • Strict mode for mild insults and borderline words • Your own blocked words and allowed words OPTIONAL AI CHECK Rude comments do not always contain a bad word. Add your own free OpenRouter key and Calmchat asks a free AI model for a second opinion on the comments the word filters let through. It is off by default. USE IT YOUR WAY Open Calmchat from the toolbar popup, the Chrome side panel or a floating window. PRIVATE BY DESIGN The word filters run fully in your browser. There is no account, no tracking and no server of ours. Chat text leaves your browser only if you turn on the optional AI check, and then it goes straight to OpenRouter with your own key.
