About CalHue — Colors & Backgrounds for Google Calendar
Make Google Calendar feel more like you.
CalHue adds custom event colors, coordinated palettes and your own background image to Google Calendar on the web.
CHOOSE YOUR COLORS
Right-click an event to choose a color from your palettes, use the color picker or enter an exact HEX code. For recurring events, apply your choice to one occurrence or the whole series. You can return to the original Google color whenever you like.
KEEP YOUR FAVORITE PALETTES
Start with Sage & Plum and Coastal Morning, or create your own palettes. Each palette holds up to six colors. Name, edit, duplicate and delete custom palettes, and use the checkboxes in the extension popup to choose which groups appear in the event menu. Changing a palette does not recolor existing events.
ADD YOUR OWN BACKGROUND
Choose an image from your device and adjust the veil and blur to keep your calendar readable. Replace or remove the image whenever you want. The landscape shown in the store screenshot is an example of a user-selected background, not a built-in wallpaper library.
LOCAL TO YOUR BROWSER
Your custom colors, palettes and background are saved in the current Chrome profile. They are not shared with other calendar participants or synchronized by CalHue to another browser or device. CalHue processes event identifiers and related calendar information locally to keep colors attached to events, and may load Google's own event editor to identify a recurring event's time zone. Calendar data and background images are not sent to the developer. There are no ads or analytics trackers in the extension.
GET STARTED
1. Open Google Calendar on the web and refresh it after installing CalHue.
2. Right-click an event to try a custom color.

CalHue works with Google Calendar on the web. Its appearance changes do not apply to the Google Calendar mobile apps. A Google account is needed to use Google Calendar; no separate CalHue account is required.
