The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Cache Lens
Cache Lens is a lightweight developer tool for understanding how Chrome loads website resources.
Quickly see which scripts, stylesheets, images, fonts, and other resources were loaded from disk cache, revalidated with the server, or fetched from the network.
Key features:
- View cache usage for every observed resource
- Identify disk-cache hits and 304 Not Modified responses
- See an overall cache-reuse summary
- Filter resources by cache status
- Enable no-cache mode for an individual tab
- Bypass HTTP cache and service workers while testing
- Clear HTTP cache and Cache Storage for the current site
- Preserve cookies, logins, browsing history, and local storage
- Color-coded toolbar status indicator
- Automatically separate results by browser tab
Cache Lens is useful for web developers, QA engineers, site administrators, performance testers, and anyone troubleshooting stale website resources.
All analysis happens locally inside Chrome. Cache Lens does not transmit browsing information, resource URLs, or diagnostic results to external servers.
Note: Chrome may not expose every response served from its in-memory cache, so Cache Lens reports results for requests visible through Chrome’s extension APIs.
