About Bytewarden Password Manager
Bytewarden is an unofficial, open-source fork of the Bitwarden browser extension. It keeps the entire codebase open source and is built for the server you choose, including self-hosted Bitwarden-compatible servers.
WHY BYTEWARDEN
• Your server, your data: enter your server's address to log in. There's no account with us, and nothing is stored on our servers.
• End-to-end encrypted: your vault is encrypted on your device before it syncs, and your master password never leaves it.
• Fully open source: every line is public under GPLv3 at github.com/Convex-Works/bytewarden.
FEATURES
• Autofill logins, cards, and identities from the page or the toolbar
• Passkeys: save them to your vault and sign in without a password
• Password and passphrase generator, with email alias services
• Folders, favorites, and search to organize your vault
• Single sign-on, two-step login, and log in with device
• Keyboard shortcuts, light and dark themes, and a pop-out window
Bytewarden is maintained by Convex Works and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Bitwarden Inc.
Data never get sent to Convex Works or any 3rd-party. Data only get sent to the server you host the password manager's backend.
The code is open-source and verifiable.
