Buy Time - Block Distracting Websites

Buy Time makes opening a site you know wastes your time cost you something: attention. Tag any website from the toolbar popup and pick a video to go with it. From then on, every single attempt to open that site — a fresh visit, a reload, or just switching back to a tab that already had it open — plays that video first, full screen. There's no way to skip it, and no grace period: switching away for a few seconds and back still shows it again. Once the video ends, you're shown how many times you've tried to open that site in the last 24 hours, and when your last attempt before this one was. Then you get one choice: Enter anyway, or Leave it. Build your own catalog of videos and assign a different one to each site you tag, with a live preview when picking. Turn the whole extension on or off at any time from the toolbar. Buy Time doesn't collect, store, or transmit any of your data anywhere. Everything — your tagged sites, your video assignments, your attempt history — stays on your device, in your browser's local storage
