About Browser Rules
Browser Rules protects people at work from the attacks that start in the browser.
DOWNLOADS
Programs, scripts and other risky file types are stopped before they are saved, downloaded directly or inside a ZIP. Browser Rules opens ZIP files to check what's inside, and blocks ZIPs it can't check, such as password-protected ones, and ZIPs inside ZIPs.
UPLOADS AND PASTES
Your organisation can block, warn about or record the files users upload, by website and file type. It can also warn before long text is pasted into AI tools. Records name the file, or count the characters pasted, never the content.
WEBSITES
Your organisation can block websites before they load, or show a warning people must acknowledge first. Microsoft's device code sign-in pages, which attackers use to take over accounts, are blocked by default.
CLIPBOARD
Fake CAPTCHA and "fix this error" pages copy a command to the clipboard and ask people to paste it into Run or a terminal. Browser Rules keeps those commands off the clipboard and explains why.
PROTECTED FROM INSTALL
The default policies apply straight away: dangerous file types are blocked, inside ZIPs too, malicious commands are kept off the clipboard, and Microsoft's device code sign-in pages are blocked.
MANAGED FROM THE ADMIN CONSOLE
Organisations enrol their browsers in the Browser Rules admin console to set their own policies for everyone, for groups or for named people, and to see one audit log for every browser. Free for up to 50 users.
CHECKED IN THE BROWSER
Downloads, ZIPs and uploads are checked inside the browser. Files are never sent to Browser Rules or the admin console.
Browser Rules is an extra layer of protection, not a replacement for antivirus, email filtering or updates.
