About Browser Remote – Control from iPhone
Control Chrome or Edge on your Mac or Windows PC from your iPhone.
Browser Remote shows the tabs you actually have open — with your usual sign-ins, bookmarks and extensions — on your iPhone, and lets you use them with touch. Leave your computer on your desk and keep browsing from the sofa, the kitchen or anywhere else.
HOW TO START
1. Add this extension to Chrome or Edge.
2. Click the Browser Remote icon to show a QR code.
3. Scan it with the iPhone camera or the Browser Remote iPhone app. That's it.
No port forwarding, IP addresses or same Wi-Fi network required.
FEATURES
• See every tab in every window with thumbnails; switch, open and close tabs
• Tap to click, drag to scroll (with inertia), long-press to right-click, pinch to zoom on the iPhone
• Type with the iPhone keyboard, including Japanese and other input methods
• Address bar, back, forward and reload
• Mobile-friendly view that lays pages out for the iPhone screen, or the regular desktop view
• When you switch tabs on the computer, the iPhone follows
PRIVACY & SECURITY
• Everything between the extension and your iPhone is end-to-end encrypted (AES-256-GCM). The key is shared only through the QR code and never reaches our relay server.
• The relay server only forwards encrypted data; it cannot see your screen, your tabs or what you type.
• No ads, analytics or tracking.
• While your iPhone is connected, the browser shows a "started debugging this browser" bar. This is how Chrome tells you that the extension is controlling the tab, and it disappears when the iPhone disconnects.
NOTES
• Requires the Browser Remote app for iPhone.
• Browser settings pages (chrome:// and edge://) and extension stores cannot be controlled, by browser design.
• The computer must be awake with the browser running.
