The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Browser Memory

# Stop keeping tabs open Most people don't keep dozens of tabs open because they like clutter. They keep them open because closing a tab feels risky. *"I'll read this later."* *"I might need this tomorrow."* *"I don't want to lose where I was."* Open tabs become external memory. Browser Memory gives you that confidence back. Close tabs when you're done. Remember them when you need them. --- # Browser Memory remembers the context When you close a supported webpage, Browser Memory quietly remembers enough context to help you find it again later. Not just the URL. It remembers things that help you recognize the page: * Page title * Website * Reading progress * Time spent * Page snippet * Your own notes (optional) So instead of wondering *"What was that page called?"*, you can simply recognize it. --- # How it works 1. Browse normally. 2. Close a webpage. 3. Browser Memory remembers it automatically. 4. Need it later? Open **Recently Remembered** and reopen it with one click. Nothing new to organize. Nothing to remember. Nothing to save manually. --- # Built for real browsing Browser Memory is useful whenever a tab represents unfinished thinking. For example: * An article you'll probably finish later. * Documentation you'll come back to tomorrow. * A product you're still deciding about. * Research for a side project. * A recipe you don't need right now. * A video you aren't ready to watch yet. * A discussion you want to revisit. Instead of keeping all of them open, you can simply close them. --- # Not another tab manager Browser Memory doesn't ask you to organize your tabs. It doesn't create workspaces. It doesn't replace bookmarks. It doesn't try to manage your browser. Its job is much smaller. And much simpler. It helps you feel safe closing tabs. --- # Designed for recognition People rarely remember exact page titles. They remember fragments. A website. A sentence. A thumbnail. A topic. Browser Memory helps you recognize what you're looking for instead of forcing you to remember it perfectly. --- # Local by default Everything stays on your device. * No account * No cloud storage * No tracking * No analytics * No browsing history uploaded anywhere Your remembered tabs remain yours. --- # Frequently Asked Questions ### Does Browser Memory replace bookmarks? No. Bookmarks are for pages you intentionally want to keep forever. Browser Memory is for pages you simply aren't ready to forget yet. --- ### Is this browser history? No. History records where you've been. Browser Memory helps you remember *why a closed tab mattered.* --- ### Will it slow down Chrome? Browser Memory is designed to stay lightweight. It works quietly in the background and only stores small amounts of information for supported webpages you close. --- ### Does it upload my data? No. Everything is stored locally on your device. --- ### Can I delete everything? Yes. You can clear all remembered tabs whenever you want. --- ### Which pages can be remembered? Browser Memory works with supported web pages. Some browser pages (such as Chrome's internal pages or extension pages) cannot be captured because of browser security restrictions. --- # Close tabs with confidence. Let Browser Memory remember them for you. --- ## Одно замечание После нескольких недель обсуждений продукта я бы **вообще убрал фразу**: > **Passive memory for browser tabs** Она точная, но **не очень понятная** человеку, который впервые увидел продукт. Мне кажется, гораздо сильнее работает обещание: > **Close tabs without worrying you'll lose them.** или > **Remember closed tabs without keeping them open.** А уже внутри описания можно постепенно раскрывать идею "passive memory". Именно так построены тексты Arc, Linear и Notion: сначала понятная человеческая проблема, потом объяснение новой категории продукта.
