The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Browser API Client

Browser API Client is a REST client and API tester that opens in a full browser tab — a lightweight Postman alternative with no account, no desktop app and no cloud sync. Build an HTTP request, press Send, read the response. Nothing is lost when you click away. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Send any HTTP request — GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, HEAD or OPTIONS — to any API, without CORS getting in the way. - Build requests fast — a URL bar synced with query params, headers with suggestions, and bodies: JSON, URL-encoded form, multipart with file uploads, raw text, binary file and GraphQL. - Authenticate — Bearer token, Basic auth, API key (header or query), and OAuth 2.0 client credentials. Tokens stay on your device and refresh automatically. - Read responses clearly — status, timing and size; pretty JSON with a collapsible tree and search; image and sandboxed HTML preview; a hex view and download for binary. - Test without scripts — check the status, headers, JSON paths, body text and response time of every response. - Chain requests — copy a token or an id from one response into {{variables}} for the next request. - Run a collection — send a collection or folder in order, see pass/fail for each request, and re-run only the failures. - Stay organized — collections with folders, multiple request tabs, history grouped by day, and environments for dev, staging and production with secret values masked. - Import — paste a cURL command, an OpenAPI 3 or Swagger 2 spec, a Postman v2.1 collection or environment, or a HAR file. - Export — collections to Postman v2.1, and any request as a ready-to-run code snippet (cURL and seven other languages and libraries). - Watch Server-Sent Events arrive live. - Open WebSocket connections: connect, send text or JSON messages and read a timestamped message log. Browsers cannot set WebSocket handshake headers, and the client says so. - Work from the keyboard — Cmd/Ctrl+Enter sends, Cmd/Ctrl+S saves, and ? lists every shortcut. Light and dark themes. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No account, no sign-in and no pairing with a desktop app — ever. - No tracking and no analytics. Your requests, tokens, collections and history are stored only in your browser. - Requests go straight from your browser to the API you choose, and only when you press Send or run a collection. - Backups are plain JSON files that you export and import yourself. - One request, once: after you have used it on a few different days, it asks whether you would leave a review, with a separate link for reporting a problem, and it never asks again.
