The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Boomscroll
The internet is infinite. Your attention isn't.
Boomscroll rejects the "infinite scroll" and replaces it with Batches: discrete, finished sessions of content.
Think of it like listening to a record or watching a broadcast. You have a set amount of runtime. When the track ends, the music stops. Boomscroll brings that sense of completion to your digital feeds.
