About Bob the Frustration Muncher

Meet Bob, a pixel pet who eats your frustration. Ever hammered a button that does nothing? Scrolled up and down in a rage? Shaken the mouse at a page that won't load? Bob notices, and he eats it. He munches, burps, grows, and shows you which websites made you the most annoyed. Turn the worst part of the web into something a little funny, and finally find out which sites are really wasting your time. WHAT BOB DOES • Spots three kinds of frustration: rage clicks (fast clicking on one spot), scroll storms (frantic up-and-down scrolling), and mouse shakes. • Knows the difference between a broken page and a working one. A fast click only counts when the page ignored it. Counters, carousels, and links that work are skipped, and so is selecting text or typing in a field. • Shows a small "nom!" near your cursor when Bob eats something. You can turn this off. • Lives in Chrome's side panel. Click his icon in the toolbar to open him. The icon changes with his mood: happy, hungry, or asleep in his egg. LOOK AFTER BOB Bob has Belly and Joy meters that fall slowly over real time. • Frustration is junk food. It fills his belly and helps him grow, but it doesn't make him happy, and too much at once gives him a tummy ache. • Calm is the healthy food. Say hi once a day, breathe with him in a 30-second minigame (up to three times a day), and every 15 quiet minutes of browsing earns him a calm veggie. • He never dies. If you disappear for a few days he curls up into an egg, and any care action hatches him again. • He grows through five stages: Crumb, Nibbler, Muncher, Gobbler, and the mighty Grief Dragon. BOB'S FAMILY Seven brothers, sisters, and relatives hatch as you play. Each one starts as an egg with a progress bar, so you can see what it takes. • Thump loves rage clicks. • Whirl lives for scroll storms. • Wobble snacks on mouse shakes. • Sunny comes out when you visit a few days in a row. • Moss grows on calm days. • Pebble is very good at breathing. • Grandma Grumble has seen every broken website, and arrives when Bob is fully grown up. Tap anyone in the family to hear what they have to say. They cheer when they get their favorite food. THE GRIEF LOG • See which sites caused the most frustration today, over 7 days, or over 90 days. • Each site shows a bar split by rage clicks, scroll storms, and mouse shakes. • Dead clicks are counted separately, so you can see which pages ignored you the most. • A 7-day heatmap shows which hours of the day are the worst. • Bob keeps a diary. Where Chrome's on-device AI is available, he writes it with that. Otherwise he uses built-in templates. SHARE BOB'S WEEK Make a picture of Bob's week: snacks eaten, calm score, his family lineup, and your worst website (you can hide the site name). Save it or copy it in one click. There's also a plain-text report you can copy for a chat or an email. PRIVACY Bob is built to keep your browsing private. • Everything is stored on your own computer. • Bob saves only counts, site names such as amazon.com, and his own progress. He does not save page text, full web addresses, what you type, or a list of pages you visited. • No account, no sign-up, no ads, and nothing is sent to any server. • You can pause tracking or erase all of Bob's data at any time in Settings. WHY BOB NEEDS ACCESS TO ALL SITES To notice frantic clicking and scrolling, Bob has to watch clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement on the pages you visit. That is the only reason for this permission. He never reads or records what is on the page. The other permissions are for saving Bob's progress on your computer (storage), showing him in the side panel (sidePanel), and refreshing his toolbar icon (alarms). GOOD TO KNOW • Bob works best if you leave the extension pinned. • Tabs that were open before you installed Bob need a refresh before he can watch them. • Fast clicking in games and other very busy pages may still count sometimes. Bob is a pet, not a lie detector. • Bob is a fun companion, not a health tool or a substitute for taking a real break when the web is getting to you. Give Bob a name, keep him fed, and see how his family grows.
