BIG-VYOR by MAS brings screen color picking, palettes, contrast checks, gradients and webpage color scanning together in Chrome. Pick a color, explore variations, save reusable palettes and copy color values or CSS without switching between multiple tools. COLOR PICKING • Pick colors from visible areas of your screen. • Automatically copy the selected color in your chosen format. • Choose HEX, RGB, HSL, CSS variable or OKLCH output. • Reuse recently selected colors from local history. • Open the larger Workspace for extended editing. PALETTES AND EXPORTS • Generate palette variations from a chosen color. • Save named palettes and organize them into collections. • Rename palettes, delete them and undo the last deletion. • Import palettes from JSON or supported CSS color variables. • Export palettes as JSON backups, SVG swatches or CSS variables. • Extract sampled dominant colors from local PNG, JPEG and WebP images. CONTRAST AND COLOR TOOLS • Check foreground and background contrast against WCAG AA and AAA thresholds. • Evaluate transparent colors against a chosen underlying background. • Preview text sizes and weights. • Suggest a text color that meets the AA contrast threshold. • Compare palette colors in a contrast matrix. • Edit OKLCH values and see sRGB gamut warnings. • Preview approximate color-vision deficiency simulations. GRADIENTS AND PAGE COLORS • Create gradients with two to eight editable color stops. • Adjust the angle and stop positions, then copy CSS. • Scan supported text, background and border colors on demand. • Choose viewport or rendered-page scanning. • Cancel scans and save detected opaque colors as palettes. PRIVACY AND CONTROL Color processing happens locally in your browser. Recent colors, saved palettes, gradients and preferences are stored in local extension storage. Webpage access is used only when you request page scanning or popup-based screen picking. Selected images are processed locally and are not uploaded or retained by the extension. Automatic copying writes your selected color to the clipboard; BIG-VYOR does not read clipboard contents. No account is required. Cloud sync and automatic cloud backup are not included. JSON export and import provide manual palette backup. BIG-VYOR does not track browsing history or send color-tool data to external servers. All executable extension code is bundled in the installed package. PLEASE NOTE Chrome restricts page scanning and popup-based picking on certain browser pages. Use the Workspace picker where supported. Page scanning identifies supported rendered styles, not every pixel or image color. Contrast checks evaluate selected color pairs and do not constitute a complete accessibility audit. Color-vision previews are approximations.
