The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Better Bookmarks
Take complete control over your browser dashboard. Better Bookmarks replaces Chrome's generic "New Tab" page with a sleek, column-based board for organizing bookmarks the way you actually think — built for speed, structure, and zero clutter.
Key Features:
100% Local Storage: Your bookmarks, notes, and board layout are stored entirely in your own browser profile via Chrome's storage APIs — never sent to any external server. Optional Chrome sync (if you enable it) is handled entirely by your own Google account, not by us.
Kanban-Style Board: Group links into columns and cards that map to your real workflow — drag to reorder columns, cards, and individual links at any time.
Organized Card Structure: Each column holds multiple cards, and each card holds your saved links — a clean three-level structure for keeping large bookmark collections readable instead of one long list.
Productivity Widgets: Add optional sidebar widgets per tab — a quick Notes pad, a To-Do checklist, a Pomodoro focus timer, reusable Clipboard Snippets for text you copy often, and an Open/Recently Closed Tabs tracker for the current window.
Import & Export: Bring in existing bookmarks from Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox via HTML import, or back up/restore your entire board as a JSON file.
No Accounts Required: Works immediately after install — no sign-in, no setup, no external accounts needed for any core feature.
Note: This project is community-driven and entirely free. If you enjoy the workspace, you can leave a voluntary tip via the link in Settings — completely optional, and never required to use any feature.
