The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Auto Skip Reels & Shorts
Auto Skip Reels & Shorts
Auto Skip Reels & Shorts is a browser extension that automatically advances to the next video after a YouTube Short, Instagram Reel, or Facebook Reel has finished playing — so you never get stuck on a looping video again.
What it does
Short-form videos on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook loop endlessly by default. This extension watches each video and the moment it finishes its first playthrough, it moves on — just like swiping up, but hands-free.
Features
Auto-advance on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels
Countdown overlay — a glassmorphic pill shows how many seconds until the skip, with pause and skip-now buttons
Watch Limit — set a maximum watch time per video (e.g. skip after 15s regardless of length)
Playback speed control — set per-platform speed (0.5× to 2×) so content moves at your pace
Category filters — automatically skip Music, News, Sports, Comedy, or Tech videos
Custom keyword filters — blacklist words to always skip, whitelist words to always keep watching
Skip history — a log of the last 5 videos skipped, with platform, category, and timestamp
Daily goal tracking — set a daily target for skips to stay aware of how much you're scrolling
Auto-mute in background tabs — mutes videos when you switch away, restores volume on return
Ad skip — detects sponsored overlays on YouTube Shorts and skips them automatically
Keyboard shortcut — Alt + Shift + S toggles the extension on/off without opening the popup
Who it's for
Anyone who uses short-form video for discovery — catching up on news, learning a topic, or browsing entertainment — and wants to move through content efficiently without babysitting the feed.
