The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Auto Refresh Turbo

Some Chrome tabs only stay useful when they reload on a rhythm: a queue board, a lab screen, a status wall, a ticket list that moves when the page does. Hitting reload every minute is fine for a minute. It is not fine for a whole shift. Auto Refresh Turbo puts a timer on one tab or several tabs, shows the countdown in the popup, and keeps the loop running after you close the popup. You get intervals, daily windows, and multi-tab lists without a cloud account. Who this helps Operations and support teams who leave dashboards open all day. QA testers who want a steady reload loop without writing a script. Anyone watching a live page who is tired of keyboard shortcuts — or who wants a visible countdown instead of hidden page JavaScript. Core idea You pick an interval in seconds, press Start, and the extension reloads the tab when the timer reaches zero. The service worker schedules the next alarm, so the loop does not depend on a fragile script injected into every site. Optional random delay and daily windows keep the rhythm inside the hours you choose. What you can control from one popup 1️⃣ Interval in seconds or quick presets such as 5s, 30s, 1m, 5m, 15m, 1h 2️⃣ Large Start and Stop controls with a readable HH:MM:SS countdown 3️⃣ Optional toolbar badge countdown on the active tab 4️⃣ Independent sessions for multiple tabs 5️⃣ Optional hard reload when a normal refresh stays stale Other switches matter when a page fights back: - Stop automatically when you click or type (on by default) - Optional on-page glass-style timer chip - Optional stop when a simple heuristic thinks the page looks like an error or challenge screen Compared with manual reload Keyboard shortcuts work for one-off updates. They do not remember three different intervals on three tabs, and they cannot pause outside a daily schedule. This extension is built for unattended loops, not for replacing every manual reload you will ever do. Multi-tab workflows Need to refresh all tabs in chrome that you care about, each on its own clock? Add tabs to the session list and start them independently. A board on 60 seconds, a queue on 120 seconds, a staging check on 5 minutes — all visible in one popup. Automatic tab refresh mechanics The extension stores session snapshots locally and uses Chrome alarms for the next reload. Optional features that read page content — on-page timer, stop-on-interaction, suspicious-page stop — inject only when you enable them and run in the browser. Use an auto refresh page on a timer without scripts Console snippets disappear on navigation, break on minified sites, and are hard to audit. Dedicated auto refresh chrome tooling gives a consistent UI, persistent settings, and a clear Stop button when the meeting ends. Hard reload when cache lies Turn on a stronger reload when a normal refresh keeps showing stale HTML or assets. Use it sparingly — some dashboards prefer a soft reload — but it is there when you need a firmer nudge. Keep long sessions useful Long-lived logins and kiosk-style pages sometimes time out when nothing moves. Timed reloads keep a page moving on a schedule you chose — match the interval to what the site allows and what your team considers fair use. When reload becomes a problem Not every page should loop forever. Banking flows, fragile forms, and heavy apps may hate constant reload. Guardrails — stop on interaction, optional suspicious-page stop, schedule windows — help you stop unwanted page refreshing surprises while you work inside the tab. Quick start 1. Pin the extension icon after install 2. Open a normal https tab you want to watch 3. Enter seconds or tap a preset 4. Press Start and glance at the countdown 5. Open more tabs and run independent timers when you need them ➤ Use the daily schedule if nights should stay quiet ➤ Turn on hard reload only for stubborn caches ➤ Leave stop-on-interaction on while you fill forms FAQ Does it work after I close the popup? Yes. Alarms keep the loop alive in the background for tabs you started. Will it sync settings to another computer? No. Sessions stay on the local browser profile. Can I run different intervals on different tabs? Yes. That is the multi-tab list workflow. Is there a cloud dashboard? No. The product is local-first by design. Closing notes Treat reload intervals as a tool, not a hammer. Start slower than you think you need, watch how the site responds, then tighten the loop. For shared screens, agree on a policy so nobody is surprised by motion on the wall. If a site asks you to prove you are human, stop the timer, finish the challenge, and restart only when the page is stable again. Some features may be available by subscription.
