The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Atlas Obscura - New Tab (Unofficial)

This extension replaces your new tab page with a random, breathtaking location from Atlas Obscura, and a minimal display for the weather in your location (Inspired by Chromecast) This project was based on the official Atlas Obscura new tab extension. Important Note: - This is an unofficial, and open source project not built by Atlas Obscura - Permission to publish this community-built was requested from Atlas Obscura :) - It's a reimplementation that doesn't reuse the original source code Improvements over the original: - Built for Speed: Optimized to eliminate "flashes" and lag. - Smooth UI: Staggered animations and a clean, modern layout. - Live Weather: Real-time local weather in the bottom corner. (requires Location permissions)
