About AskHmm – Verify before you reply
AskHmm checks who's really emailing you, before you reply.
Fake investors, "new" bank details, recruiters who aren't, CEO requests for gift cards: business email fraud works because the email looks normal. AskHmm takes the second of doubt and turns it into a clear answer.
Open an email in Gmail or Outlook on the web, and AskHmm checks:
• Who sent it: display names hiding another address, personal accounts making business claims, look-alike domains, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC results.
• Whether the company is real: domain age, a working website, mail records, and whether the rest of the web knows the company.
• Whether the person is real: on the company's own site, on LinkedIn at that company, or anywhere else online.
• Whether the request holds up: unnamed investors, changed bank details, urgency, secrecy and gift cards.
You get one of three answers (Looks fine, Hmm or Stop), the reasons, a next step, and a safe reply you can copy.
Privacy first:
• Nothing is read until you choose Full check or Sender only.
• The email never leaves your device. Only the sender's company domain and display name are looked up.
• No ads, no tracking, no selling data.
Free: unlimited instant checks plus 10 deep checks a month. Pro: unlimited deep checks with LinkedIn and web search, for €1 a month billed yearly.
Works in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Dutch.
