About ARCHIVE Download Manager
ARCHIVE Download Manager
The ARCHIVE Download Manager browser extension is a companion to the ARCHIVE Download Manager desktop application for Windows.
It helps ARCHIVE take over supported browser downloads so you can manage them directly from the ARCHIVE desktop app.
How It Works
*Open ARCHIVE Download Manager.
*Make sure Chrome or Brave is already running.
*Select a game from your ARCHIVE library.
*Click Download.
*ARCHIVE opens the supported provider page in your browser.
*The extension detects the supported download on the provider page.
*The extension checks that the download matches an active request from ARCHIVE.
*Once the desktop app accepts the handoff and begins receiving the file, the original *browser download is cancelled.
*The download continues through ARCHIVE, where you can monitor its progress.
If the handoff is not accepted, the browser download is left untouched.
Supported Provider
Currently supported:
*Gofile
The extension only handles supported ARCHIVE downloads and does not manage unrelated browser downloads.
Privacy & Data
The extension is designed to work only with downloads initiated through ARCHIVE.
*Does not collect analytics or browsing-history data.
*Does not use telemetry.
*Does not store download history, cookies, or credentials in extension storage.
*Reads only the information needed from supported Gofile pages to identify the relevant download.
*Uses the Gofile session information required to complete an ARCHIVE-requested download handoff.
*Communicates with the ARCHIVE desktop application through a local connection on your computer.
*Does not send download information to an ARCHIVE server.
*Does not monitor unrelated websites or browser downloads.
