The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Apps Script Source Export
Apps Script Source Export adds a "Download ZIP" button directly inside the Google Apps Script IDE sidebar. With one click, it exports all your project's source files (.gs, .html, .json) as a ZIP archive you can save locally.
What you get:
- Files keep their original names and extensions: .gs files stay .gs (not renamed to .js), .html stays .html.
- The project manifest (appsscript.json) is included, so the archive contains everything needed to rebuild or version the project.
- One dedicated feature, nothing else added to your editor.
Why install it:
Google Apps Script doesn't offer a native way to export your code outside Drive. This extension fills that gap. It is useful for backing up your project before risky changes, keeping code under version control (Git), or opening it in your favorite editor.
How it works:
When you click the button, the extension re-reads the current Apps Script IDE page from script.google.com (the same address you already have open) so the export always reflects your latest saved changes, then builds the ZIP locally in your browser. It sends no data to any third-party server and requires no sign-in or OAuth access to your Google account. Your code never leaves your browser except as the ZIP file you choose to download.
Permissions used:
Only host permission for script.google.com, needed to inject the "Download ZIP" button into the Apps Script IDE and to re-read the page you already have open. The file is saved using a standard browser download link; no dedicated download API is used.
