The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About App/API Version to GitHub
Instantly jump from any deployed application to its exact commit on GitHub.
What it does
This extension detects version identifiers (like git commit SHAs) on web pages and
creates one-click links to view that commit on GitHub. It works with JSON endpoints
such as API health checks, status pages, or any JSON response containing a version
field. It also works with HTML pages that embed version info in meta tags.
Why install it
When debugging production issues or verifying deployments, you often need to know
exactly what code is running. Instead of manually copying version strings and
navigating to GitHub, this extension gives you a direct link in one click.
Perfect for checking which commit is deployed to staging vs production, quickly
navigating to source code during incident response, verifying that a deploy completed
with the expected version, and teams that expose version info via /health, /status, or
similar endpoints.
How it works
Configure your URL patterns and GitHub repositories in the extension settings. Visit
any page that matches your patterns. Click the extension icon to see the detected
version and a direct link to the commit.
Features
Flexible URL pattern matching works with any domain or path structure. Supports JSON
responses and HTML meta tags as version sources. Settings sync across your Chrome
browsers. Export and import configuration to share with your team.
