About AnvilBrowser for AnvilTerm
AnvilBrowser is the browser extension for AnvilTerm. It connects the AnvilTerm desktop app to the browser profile you already use (Chrome, Edge or Brave), so the AI agents you run in AnvilTerm (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and others) can work in your signed-in tabs instead of a separate browser.
You stay in control:
- Agent control is off until you turn it on, and one switch stops it at any time.
- Choose per site: Allow, Ask before each action, or Block. Blocked sites always stay blocked.
- Read-only page snapshots are separate from actions; clicks, typing and navigation follow your site policy.
- Agents only act in the tabs they claim, shown in a labelled tab group, and your own tabs are restored when they finish.
- Every session can be watched live in AnvilTerm and recorded to a video file on your computer.
How it connects: the extension talks only to the AnvilTerm app running on your own computer, through Chrome's Native Messaging. It acts in tabs through Chrome's built-in extension debugger (Chrome shows its "is debugging this browser" bar while an agent works), so it never needs Chrome to be started with an open remote-debugging port, which any program on your computer could connect to. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Requires the AnvilTerm desktop app for macOS or Windows.
