ANSI Tube

Turn ordinary YouTube videos and Shorts into live ANSI-inspired art, entirely inside your browser. ANSI Tube samples the active video's decoded frames locally and redraws them using optimized ANSI and ASCII characters, a homebrew 64-shape video alphabet, mosaic blocks, Braille, emoji, or multitone Vector Lines. Features include: • Dozens of monochrome, retro-hardware, and creative palettes • Color depths from 2 colors through True Color • Crop, zoom, or squash videos into 4:3 and 1:1 frames • Optional phosphor trails, particles, auras, rays, and outlines • Optional tape, bit-crush, pitch, radio, and underwater audio treatments • PNG and ANSI frame export • Keyboard-accessible controls and reduced-motion support • MooBurst unlocks recurring blond-cow cameos with a locally synthesized moo There are no accounts, advertisements, analytics, trackers, external servers, or remote code. Video and audio processing remains on your device. ANSI Tube runs only on YouTube and stores only your preferences locally. ANSI Tube is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
