The alter/me/a/i extension keeps a private copy of everything you do online — saved on your device, never uploaded, never sold to trackers. Then it helps you turn that record into your own private AI. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install and run alter/me/a/i while browsing so it quietly keeps an on-device copy of your browsing and your AI chats (Claude, ChatGPT, and more) — encrypted, local, yours. 2. Install and run the companion Vault app. Data is downloaded to your personal encrypted library that lives right on your own hard drive. And you hold the keys (a recovery kit means you never get locked out). 3. Run the setup wizard at my-alter.ai to mine download a local LLM of your choice or connect your AI provider, and mobilize your own data into private, personal digital avatars - or personas - that you train and control.
