About ALMS Guide Studio Browser Companion
ALMS Guide Studio Browser Companion extends ALMS Guide Studio into the browser so authorized users can launch, continue, and recover guided sessions directly within supported web applications.
The extension is designed for organizations using ALMS Guide Studio to provide controlled browser-based walkthroughs, onboarding, demonstrations, training, and secure session experiences without requiring users to manually navigate every step.
Key capabilities include:
• Guided browser sessions that work alongside ALMS Guide Studio
• Secure Session Designer support for controlled browser experiences
• Marketplace policy synchronization for allowed, blocked, hidden, and masked page elements
• Browser tab continuity so guided sessions can continue as users move through supported pages
• Session recovery when a guided browser experience is interrupted or refreshed
• Controlled navigation and page access based on the active Guide Studio session
• Support for highlighted and selected page elements configured by session administrators
• Integration with ALMS Marketplace and other authorized Guide Studio environments
• ALMS Marketplace branded loading and session-transition experiences
The Browser Companion is not intended to operate as a standalone general-purpose browsing extension. It works with ALMS Guide Studio and authorized session configurations created by the organization providing the guided experience.
Why install it?
Install the ALMS Guide Studio Browser Companion when your organization, administrator, trainer, or service provider has provided an ALMS Guide Studio session that requires browser interaction. The extension helps maintain the guided experience between pages and tabs while applying the session rules configured by the session administrator.
The extension is especially useful for guided onboarding, software demonstrations, reseller and customer training, controlled live-site walkthroughs, internal process documentation, and other browser-based training experiences.
Access to websites, pages, and features depends on the Guide Studio session you have been authorized to use. The extension does not independently grant access to ALMS Marketplace accounts or third-party services.
