AIBlock: Hide AI Overviews & Pause AI

AIBlock is a free Chrome extension that helps you control selected AI features in your browser. SEARCH CONTROL Choose Hide, Collapse / Show on demand, or Don't change AI Overviews on supported Google Search pages. Collapse adds a compact button to reveal or hide a supported overview. AI Mode has a separate control to hide supported entry points and return AI Mode searches to ordinary results. PAUSE AND REMINDERS Take a brief pause before common AI tools, with reminders to check sources, avoid sharing private information, and write in your own words. A site warning is available when you prefer a reminder without the pause. SELECTED INTERFACE CLEANUP Hide selected Gemini upsells and supported Workspace AI entry points or verified recommendation and upgrade surfaces. Workspace cleanup has separate controls for each supported product and targets selected interface controls, not ordinary editing or file content. YOUR CHOICE, LOCAL PROCESSING Fresh installations start paused. Choose your protections in Settings; turn a feature off to restore the surfaces it affected. Core protections are free, with no extension account, analytics, or tracking. AIBlock inspects supported interface metadata and selected visible interface text locally in Chrome. Settings and limited non-query protection status are saved locally. The current page's Show / Hide choice stays in memory. AIBlock does not transmit or retain prompts, document text, form responses, file names, search queries, or browsing history. Coverage varies by website interface, account, language, plan, and rollout. Only supported surfaces are affected. AIBlock does not disable AI services or block their network requests.
