The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About AI Slop Blocker
AI Slop Blocker finds YouTube's own AI content disclosure badge — the small "AI" badge YouTube shows next to a video's title when the creator (or YouTube's automatic detection) discloses the content was made with AI — and puts a grey mask over the video until you choose to watch it anyway.
No machine learning, no third-party APIs, no guessing. YouTube does the detection; this extension just makes the existing disclosure impossible to miss.
What it does:
- Watch page & Shorts: grey mask over the player with a "Watch anyway" button, or a small corner badge instead if you prefer — your choice in the popup.
- Homepage feed, sidebar, and search results: optionally dims labeled thumbnails with a non-blocking "AI" chip so you can tell before you click.
- Popup shows a running weekly count of how many AI-disclosed videos you've encountered.
What it doesn't do:
- No content analysis, no AI/ML model, no guessing whether something "looks AI." It only acts when YouTube's own disclosure is present — misses are possible, false accusations are not.
- No data collection, no analytics, no accounts. Everything is stored locally in your browser.
