The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About AdSignal
AdSignal — turn Meta Ad Library and Google Ads Transparency Center into an actual competitive intel workflow
How it works
Open a brand's results on either platform and hit "Scan Ads on This Page." AdSignal scrolls through the full results grid and screenshots every ad as it loads — text, image, and video alike. Once it's done, export to an Excel workbook or open the built-in dashboard for a breakdown by format, category, campaign signal, language, and posting frequency.
What you actually get from each platform
On Meta, you get the real thing: headline, description, CTA, landing page domain, status — not just a picture of the ad.
Google is a different story. Google's own platform blocks automated reading of ad copy, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise or fake something that looks like ad text but isn't. So on Google you get a correctly captured screenshot of every creative, the brand name, the format, and a link straight back to the ad. No invented text standing in for something the tool can't actually read.
There's also an optional Creative Insights feature, if you want it: it can read the text sitting in a creative image and summarize what a video's actually about. Pick a free Gemini key, a paid Anthropic key, or — if you'd rather not use a key at all — a fully offline reader that never leaves your machine.
Every export comes with an Executive Summary sheet already built: total ads, format mix, top categories, language breakdown. Ready to hand off without you reformatting anything. There's also a one-click HTML report with a visual gallery of every creative, if you'd rather share a link than a spreadsheet.
On privacy
There's no backend and no account. Scanning, screenshotting, exporting — all of it happens in your own Chrome profile, and what gets scanned stays in your browser's local storage unless you export it yourself. Nothing's sent anywhere by default. Turn on Creative Insights and the only thing that leaves your browser is the specific image you asked it to read, going straight to whichever provider you picked, with your own key. Nothing else about what you're browsing goes anywhere.
Who this is actually for
Marketers, media buyers, competitive intel teams, agencies — anyone tired of manually screenshotting hundreds of competitor ads by hand during a pitch or a sale-season scramble.
