The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Account Memory
Account Memory helps you remember which account you used for a website, how you signed in, and where the related password is stored — without storing password values.
It detects sign-in interfaces on HTTPS websites only after you enable detection. Your account metadata stays in your browser and is protected in an encrypted local vault.
With Account Memory, you can:
• Find the email or username associated with a service
• See whether you used a password, Google sign-in, or a remembered account
• Record where a password is stored, such as Google Password Manager
• Review Account DNA, observations, evidence, and confirmed sign-ins
• Recover access to your Account Memory vault with a Recovery Key
• Export and import an encrypted portable backup
Privacy and control:
• Password values are never read or stored
• OTPs, tokens, cookies, and Passkey secrets are never read or stored
• Account Memory does not send your account map to an Account Memory server
• Detection requires your consent and can be disabled at any time
• Incognito mode is not supported
Account Memory is designed to answer a simple question: “Which account did I use here?”
