  1. alex says:

Hi, the extension works nice i just have two requests:
since Delicious, Chrome, Firefox deploy shortcuts using the same syntax, is it possible to have shortcuts from delicious trigger in the omni box?
and less important I’d really like to edit button’s layout and even better integrate them in the bookmark’s bar
    best regards

  2. Buddy says:

Sorry about delay, I was far away from internet on the weekend πŸ™‚

I guess so, I need to investigate that.

about button’s layout it is good idea. You can join to this project and we can work on it together. I’m going to deploy a new version soon (maybe this week), so any help would be good. I think we can discuss it via email: [email protected]

    Thanks for feedback πŸ˜‰

  3. tenveer says:

very good …just miss one thing …option to search ur bookmarks …

hope it will be added soon

  4. Frustrated says:

Sigh I usually use FFox and the Delicious addon has a keyboard shortcut of CTL-D to bookmark sites. This addon does not and I have no idea what the hotkey is.

  5. Nesmero says:

Hmmm…register on another inet servise? not, thx…i`m satisfied with default bookmark option…but havaing an opera-like bookmarks addon is much preferable than this one.

  6. Yuoxia says:

hi…Thanks for the adds, It’s doing well and i like it.

but the problem is, it gets slower when I open it to store my pages rather than that I click a bookmark with JavaScript for delicious in the bookmark bar.

and as Frustrated said, if there is a hotkey, maybe it will be better. πŸ™‚

  7. marco says:

i’ve installed it on my ubuntu 9.04 from developers ppa. Even if in //chrome:extensions it’s visible, i don’t see anything in my chromium…

  8. marco says:

Can anyone gently tell me why on my Chromium (Ubuntu build 30050) I don’t see this extension when I install it?

    Thanks a lot,

  9. Thank you for this extension!

I’d like to ask you to add the third – and in my opinion, the most useful – button in this extension’s bar, which is present in the FireFox extension for delicious: the search button.

It’s VERY handy to be able to search our bookmarks from inside the browser, after the syncing.

It’s NOT handy to have to sign in to delicious and to use their awkward search interface.

    Can you PLEASE add this?

    Thank you again!

  10. Buddy says:

    Hi everyone!
Thank you for your response, I’m hardly working to deliver a new functionality for this extension.
The new version will be very soon, believe me πŸ™‚

  11. yogi says:

I install the extension, but nothing show up on the tool bar!
I don’t know how to use this extension.

  12. Buddy says:

on which platform did you try to install? is it linux?

  13. yogi says:

I installed it on Ubuntu 9.10. How do I sync the Chrome bookmarks with delicious by using this extension?

  14. Buddy says:

at first time when run the extension you must see an options window where you should specify your login and password on the delicious. After that your bookmarks will sync automatically (you can change this option at any time later by clicking “Options” on the extension page). If you do not want to save your login and password you can sync them manually. as you can see on the main screenshot, there is a third icon, if you click on it you will see a window with your bookmarks and a button – “Sync bookmarks”.

but seems that on linux extension does not work properly. In the next version this issue will be fixed.

  15. Guy Martin says:

Great first start on this extension! I have a couple of suggestions/questions:

    1) The current generation of plugins for Firefox (especially the ‘official’ one) allow you to put in favorite tags in the toolbar so that you can easily see your bookmarks sorted by tags via drop down lists. Is that a feature you are looking to implement?

    2) Are you planning on being able to move/add your buttons into the bookmark/toolbar area – having them on the bottom of the browser is a bit counter-intuitive (or maybe just a personal bias on my part).

Thanks for the work you’ve done so far! πŸ™‚

  16. nihi_l_ist says:

..Sometimes it pops up on “D”!! NOT Ctrl-D…brr..its really annoying, can you fix this? The extension is great, after all πŸ˜‰

  17. Buddy says:

thank you for this bug report πŸ™‚ I’ll fix that

  18. Tony says:

Hi, this is really cool… but i have the same request from “Guy Martin” and i think that a lot of users have the same request πŸ˜‰ :

“The current generation of plugins for Firefox (especially the β€˜official’ one) allow you to put in favorite tags in the toolbar so that you can easily see your bookmarks sorted by tags via drop down lists. Is that a feature you are looking to implement?”

It will be very great to have it πŸ™‚

    Thanks a lot πŸ™‚

  19. Buddy says:

    2Guy Martin:

    1. This functionality already planned for future releases :). I’m going to have 2 realeses else to make this extension the same as for Firefox (official one), and even better πŸ™‚

    2. Yes, these buttons will be moved to the toolbar area in next version.

    thank you for feedback πŸ™‚

  20. Peluchon says:

I have install the extension in Chrome and Ubuntu 9.04 and not show the buttons

    Can you help me?

  21. Buddy says:

This is a know bug. It will be fixed soon. Sorry for that.

  22. Peluchon says:

    No problem

  23. Sean says:

@Buddy: Thanks for this great extension! When you change this to a browser_action, can I suggest having a tabbed layout in the popup, one tab for each of the three buttons that are currently available in the toolstrip, and have the “Save Bookmark” tab be initially opened since that would be the most commonly used. Thanks!

  24. Joel says:

@buddy: thanks for the great tool, until today it worked great, but just my the ‘extension bar’ disappeared. Also the early version of the Gmail notifier stopped working…

I’m looking forward for an update of your extension.

I’m running Chrome on Win7 and WinXP (both same issue)

  25. yamalight says:

After update extension don’t show buttons anymore. Using latest chrome dev and win7.
    Fix plox!

  26. I’m confused. I installed the extension, and set my user name and passward, but found nothing happened. Where’s the button? How it works?

  27. Sterling says:

I tried to install the extension but its says permission denied. I even tried all the versions of the extension and the message still says permission denied…help!

  28. Sexybeast099 says:

This is probably pretty n00bish but how do I set the login? I see a place for the username but not for the password. Is it the standard ftp type of deal where I input USERNAME:PASSWORD or what?

  29. Leira says:

Not working on Linux Chrome Can set user/pass on option window, but no sync, no any button.

  30. Buddy says:

A new version with Browser Action support has been released!

  31. It is pivotal to inform your physician about any allergies you may have and also your medical history, before getting your Lipitor prescription. The drug Lipitor also has a bioequivalent generic which is identical to the brand in strength as well as safety and is sold at a slightly lower cost.

  32. Rolli says:

I got the start pop pup entering my credentials but when I want to look at my bookmarks on delicious I get the message “The Server API requires a username and a password” <- entering my username and password doesnt help.
This applies for my windows and linux version.
    Any suggestions?

  33. Diego says:

IΒ΄m having problems getting it work with a delicious account registered with a Yahoo Id. The problem seems to be the authentication mechanism. Actually, according to Delicious API Help, there are two different API versions: one for accounts created withing delicious (the old delicious accounts prior integration with Yahoo) and another one for Yahoo accounts.

Please take this issue into consideration if you want your extension to be useful for most delicious users.

    Thanks, good job.

  34. Buddy says:

@All: A new version of extension has been published. Thanks all for your feedback and help with finding defects.

There are a few major changes in new 2.0 version:
    – Fixed and improved search. It is not a case sensitive anymore. Now the search looks in href, description and tags fields
    – Using integrated database in Webkit core which allows to keep data more effectively
    – Filter bookmarks by tags
    – Fixed a lot of defects
    – New design

  35. Nik says:

Love the extension but I’m having one issue, I’m running it in Chromium 7.0.517.44 (64615) under Ubuntu 10.10 and, I don’t know if the issue is unique to Chromium, but when I click “Open Delicious” it opens two tabs both going to my bookmark page.
