More about this extension

Shows your external smileys using bbcode, allowing to copy their bbcode at any time. To copy, just click the image, and press Ctrl+C afterwards. Then you can paste it into the forums’ message box, smileys will reappear by themselves.

To change to your own set of smileys, change smiles.js, located in the extension folder:
For XP – C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\jjefinffljbamlijggcnkpaldofpbacj.2.20
For Vista/Win7 – C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\jjefinffljbamlijggcnkpaldofpbacj.2.20
Features:

  • small sized toolstrip with smileys
  • add your own smiley set
  • get bbcode with a click on a smiley
All you have to do to add you own smileys, is to change the links to the images, which are best viewed if they are 20×20 pixels. You can use my generator, to generate your own smiley set.
ps. After editing smiles.js close all open windows of Chrome to see the changes

    This is a must have if you are a forum junkie and wants to use your customised similes :-)
    You can also generate your own .js list from the developer’s site
    a 4 out of 5 for making my life easier when posting to forums

    I would like to see this go on the top toolbar with a drop down menu. I don’t like it on the status bar on the bottom.

    sulasno, it would need some tweaks in the code
    maybe it is better to leave it as is for now =)

    This extension (and some others) should probably be removed as they no longer work in newer versions of chrome (cause the toolbar was phased out
