Great stuff. Please add a settings dialog. I'd like to have the option to turn off the icon in the toolbar, and have the feature enabled/disabled in a settings dialog only instead.
I also think the split view is pretty cool, this would be awesome for other things than google search, too. Let's say I'm on a website at the table of content, and now I want to view multiple sites that are further down in the hierachy. If I could just split the view like searchw, by clicking a button or using the context menu, all links I click could be opened in the new view.
There should also be an option (in the toolbar of the right view) to remove the split view again. This would be awesome.

Awesome!

This really enhances searching the web!

Keep up the good work!!!

Any chance of implementing a feature to smoothly change the split area of the two windows?

Can't wait for new releases...

Awesome idea, but needs some work. Many wide screen users often use half a screen browser window. On those sessions the extension should automatically disable itself. Maybe add an adjustable slider for minimum window width to determine when the extension should be active? I'm hoping to see this update soon, because as long as this feature is missing, I cannot use this otherwise awesome extension.

Automatically resizing the frame that has focus (= sliding the dividing scrollbar to left or right) would be a nice feature as well. This doesn't quite fall in the category of must-have basic needs as the one above, but it would allow people with smaller resolutions benefit from this extension. Yet again, there could be a slider determining how much space the focused frame gets in percentages. The value could range from 50%-100% . When the non-focused frame gets too small to show any content in, it could transform to a mere vertical bar for users to click in order to change the focus back to the smaller frame.

I hope you got what I was going for, it's hard to describe visual features verbally. Anyway I hope you put some thought in to these suggestion, this extension has A LOT of potential. Would be a shame if it would go to waste.
