Take a screen capture of the visible portion of any web page and it will open in an editor where you can crop it, add text and arrow markup, get color information or move around areas. You can easily save it to your desktop or host it online. The extension also lets you quick launch any of Aviary’s web editor design apps.     Very nice, but it would be better if it supported full page screenshots, amd if it could remove the scrollbar from the screenshot.

    Great extension. Thanks a lot.
    Two suggestions:
    1. Please add the “Capture whole page” function if it’s technically possible.
    2. Option to open up the Editor in a new tab not a new window.

    1. Capturing the Whole page is not currently supported by Google Chrome. I’m sure it will be in the future. We do allow that in our Firefox extension (as well as quick region capture). You can also add “http://aviary.com/” in front of any public URL to capture the full page, but it will use IE as the rendering engine.

    2. We’ll look into that for future versions.

    Can you add the ability to change text color on the menu? on some chrome themes the text blends in with the background.

    Interesting extension. It would allow me to use Chrome more frequently were full page capture allowed.

    I will wait for upgrades, though.

    Love it except for the fact that it wont let me make screencaptures from youtube videos. Or am i doing something wrong.

    I found an extension that’s actually usable in that it allows you to grab an entire webpage. It’s called Explain and Send Screenshots (gpl) and it is the closest thing to the Firefox Screengrab addon I found so far.

    Neither ‘Aviary’ or ‘Explain and Send’ seem to be able to capture a frame of video. Such as YouTube or Hulu.

    This extension looks great, but I wish it would let me take a screen capture of the entire page, even beyond what I can see.
