This is the sort of thing that could keep a guy using Firefox. I shouldn't need a developer build and an extension to change the way the tabs work. Hopefully this will be an easy menu option soon.

This is a great extension. It has functioned well for me and is something Google should implement. Another nice touch would be when googling a list of search sites you could click on the link and open in a new tab and still keep the original page open. Thanks a bunch

This extension is flawed. If you close the browser window without closing the entire program, the next time you open a window it will no longer switch to newly-opened tabs. Hopefully the creator will fix this bug.

This should also have Shift+middle-click open the tab in the background, like the equivalent preference in Firefox does.

Great! This was one simple little thing keeping me from using Chrome more (instead of Firefox). Google developers - are you listening?

Awesome!

This is exactly what I've been waiting for for such a long time. I would have expected Google to implement it in their browser from the beginning as it is way more convenient to have new tabs open in the foreground straight away instead of manually opening them in the tab menu (which is usually pretty time-consuming sine you need to move the mouse cursor their first).

Thanks for this extension. This is much appreciated!
