So it'll be nice if you explained in what ways your one is better, if it is. Your extension does not automatically convert links like this one: http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.100.6671&rep=rep1&type=pdf and does not even give a way to force it to open in the Viewer.
