gPDF will make Chrome a perfect cloud app. It scans webpages for PDF links and set them to open with Google’s docs viewer. Hence, you don’t need Adobe Reader or any other PDF reader to open PDF files.

    There are already two similar extensions: http://www.chromeextensions.org/social-communications/gdocs-google-docs-link-replacer/ and http://www.chromeextensions.org/other/googledocspdfviewer/ (of which the latter seems to me the most complete version (yes, I’m its author)). So it’ll be nice if you explained in what ways your one is better, if it is.

    Your extension does not automatically convert links like this one: http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.100.6671&rep=rep1&type=pdf and does not even give a way to force it to open in the Viewer.

    No pdf’s from my university work, the load google document reader and then just say “sorry, can not read this file”
