Reviews

  1. The Truth says:

Maybe a description and a screenshot? Funny that users already download something without even knowing what it is for lol

  2. DreaMs says:

Yes please … at least a best description.

  3. Todero says:

    Interesting, works properly.

  4. vback says:

Love this. Great extension and beautiful look.

  5. Andrés says:

Hi, if I have two Tasklists, it doesn’t remember which one i visit last. It always shows the first.

    (Sorry about my english)

  6. James says:

Works beautifully on Chromium 4.0.257 for OSX 10.62. Screenshot here: http://grab.by/NGr

  7. Graeme says:

Should resize depending on how much content is in the tasks window.

  8. Not bad… I would suggest a memory option, so that it remembers which list I’m working off of and how I have organised my tasks. E.g. If I switch to List2, organise tasks by due date, close the extension and then reopen, I am back to List1 and the organization is all off.

  9. pichinep says:

It doesn’t work propertly with multiple tasklists. It doesn’t remember the last you visited.

  10. Armstrong says:

+1 with @Graeme, is too long for a couple of tasks.

    Good extension

  11. Favonia says:

Amazing extension. However, could you possibly make it possible to change the font so that it can correctly display all Chinese characters?

  12. Favonia says:

Oops, I found that the problem of displaying Chinese on Chromium 4.0.257.0 (Ubuntu build 32926) might be of Chromium itself, not of this extension.

  13. Bruno says:

@Graeme : Added in my todo list

  14. Need a simple way to adjust this to access my Google Apps (with a domain name) task list instead of my standard Google account. Plug-in options, please?

  15. The Truth says:

@Bruno why not optionally adding http://mail.google.com/tasks/iphone (iPhone version)? Looks better in Chrome than the standard version

    @Dave

    Edit popup.html and replace “https://mail.google.com/tasks/ig” with “http://mail.google.com/tasks/a/yourdomain.com/ig”

PS: You could try http://mail.google.com/tasks/iphone (iPhone version)

  16. The Truth says:

    @Dave

And remove the autoupdate thingy from the manifest file

  17. The Truth says:

Hm… seems the other comment has been blocked

  18. Armstrong says:

@The Truth the Android version looks more logical (just for caprice =P).

This extensions make your life easier!

  19. Bruno says:

@The truth : Trying last night, both Android and Iphone version where really too big in the screen. I can’t add an option, but it’s really not recommended

@Dave : Configuration of an apps account added in the next version. Please wait the release.

@andrew : I don’t think it’s possible to do. Tasks iframe return to the first everytime loaded. But I keep this idea in mind to find a mean for that functionality.

  20. TiiRex9 says:

It should get an Google Apps Support…

i.e. I use Google Tasks in Google Apps-Mail…

  21. Bruno says:

    Released version 1.1.0

    – Google apps support
    – Quick switch Google apps / normal account
    – Open tasks in a popup

  22. Todero says:

I think that is a very good use for Google task, very good, nice extension :)

    Chromified icon ;)
    http://piczasso.com/i/g7f2gg.png

  23. Armstrong says:

@Todero nice icon, I hope that Bruno includes both versions to chose =P

  24. Bruno says:

@Todero : I don’t see where you want me to put this icon…

  25. jazz7 says:

    no download link??

  26. Bruno says:

    Updating to version 1.2.0

Adding “tasks in window” option to embed tasks in pages
    Draggable “tasks in window” option

@jazz7 : You can take an older version and let the autoupdate download the latest version

  27. Todero says:

@Bruno. I just posted the chromifed icon for people that have yours BrowserAction bar with Chromifed icons (me for example http://piczasso.com/i/kus99c.png) , just that. So, as said Armstrong, some developers add a option to change between Colorish icons and Chromifed icons (just blue similar to default icons).

    Thanks for your useful extension.

  28. Bruno says:

    @Todero : Included in 1.3.0
I make my own icon because the one you suggest isn’t enough apparent for me.

  29. Todero says:

Bruno, check the new option “tasks in window”. For my it cause many problems.
    1. Incognito mode: “float popup” never hides.
    2. When every web page is opened for first time, “float popup” appears and disappears quickly.
    3. When back of “float popup” is a Flash or Java element, sometimes it does not disappear.

    Good work!

  30. Bruno says:

    1. Looking for a mean to solve this problem, thanks for reporting
    2. Already corrected, added in the next release
    3. That’s a really annoying problem that we discuss in another extension topic (http://www.chromeextensions.org/webmaster-seo/meta-inspector/). It seems that the usual method to solve this one doesn’t work well. I’m going to try few methods, but if you have suggestion or advices, I wish you’ll share with me

  31. LeOt says:

Where’s the add to google chrome link?? :S

  32. Todero says:

    Nice update, now works perfectly.

Is very strange, in this page the Install button does not appear like said jazz :S maybe an admin can fix it. :S

  33. Bruno says:

I think admin have try to fix the problem, it seems that the main post has been edited.
You can currently add an older version and let the autoupdate work or download directly via the url : http://chrome.brunosabot.com/gtasks/gtasks-1.3.0.crx

Please let any suggestion for the extension

  34. Ross says:

    Hi Bruno,

Excellent extension – really useful. However the latest version (0.4) will crash chrome if you attempt to make a new list (not devastating since Chrome restores well but a list is not created).

Also some way to remember the active list would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

  35. Bruno says:

    Update to v1.4.0 :
    – Link to canvas page
    – Using Google update URL

@Ross : This is a Chrome bug. I report it to have a solution then fix it

@Todero : Hopefully, button is now available, thanks to 1.4.0 update :)

  36. Todero says:

Very good Bruno, canvas version is a nice standalone.

And “create a new list” crash my Chrome too. :S
    Regards

  37. [...] Google Task: Conecta con tu lista de tareas de Google Task. [...]

  38. When you have more than a task list, there is no way to select a default list to show when clicking on the Tasks icon on the toolbar. It would be really useful to add that, or at least to make the extension remember which was the last list you viewed/edited.

  39. Erik says:

OK, finally I made it to get my GMail Tasklist show up in Google Tasks extension (just leave the entry “Google Apps url” in the options empty) – works perfectly => nice extension.

Thanks a lot & Cheers, Erik

  40. Giovanni Bajo says:

Hi, installing this extension breaks the Acid3 test (http://acid3.acidtests.org/)

  41. Paul Ravenstone says:

I was just following rabbit trails and happened across this… I thought to myself, “self, is this really going to work like i think it is?” it took me a few minutes to figure out what you were asking but once i did… Holy Cow, this is frickin’ amazing. I can’t believe I got my tasks in my gmail to work as this and tehy are interechangeable. this is absolutely wonderful I really appreciate it!!!!!

  42. Ioannis Demetriou says:

This is perhaps one of the most useful extension for me. It is convenient to always have a task list handy while browsing. However, it would be even better if there was a number of unfinished tasks displayed on the icon.

    Thanks for the good work!

  43. blahmoomoo says:

Strangely enough, this extension causes the Acid3 test to fail. Makes me wonder if it breaks any other web page functionality…

  44. John Pearce says:

An interesting extension, but how do I make it address my task list under Google Apps?

  45. Liza Persson says:

I may be coming of as totally incompetent, but I do not know what I am supposed to type in the window for URL of Google App.

    Anyone wanna help a newbie?

  46. Kevin says:

I use this a lot but I would like to offer a couple suggestions for enhancement. It would be nice if it would remember which task list I was last using instead of having to re-select the list each time. Also, this one may be more for Google, but being able to push/publish items on a task list or share a list with someone would be useful too.

  47. Raymond Chiu says:

why is it the icon button disappear from the toolbar some of the time? i’m running XP home on a Fujitsu netbook

  48. Leigh says:

This was working for me yesterday, but now it’s broken? I can’t seem to find a link that actually lets me access my Tasks anymore???

  49. erlguta says:

It crash in Chromium 5.0.X. (in ubuntu)
Wil it be disponible for 5.0.X?
I can’t live now without this extension.
    Thank you

  50. jomama says:

breaks all the time and crashes chrome when creating a new list.
