As the official Google Chrome extensions gallery is open I’ll STOP updating this website.
Please click here to download Chromed Bird.

I’d like to say thanks to all you guys from chromeextensions.org for all your hard work. But now with the official gallery available there seem to be no point in keep updating multiple websites.

just change the “0.2” part in the link to “0.4”, kamol

  2. cezarsa says:

@Alex @rmean @kamol There seem to be some issues in the way Iron 4 handles communication between content scripts and the extension. I believe that they’ll fix this eventually, meanwhile, I plan in offering a way to manually enter Twitter’s OAuth PIN if everything else fails. Hold on for the next release.

@Mike I don’t own a Mac, so I can’t really test it there. However, there’s no platform specific code in this extension, so it really should work. If it isn’t it’s probably because of some bug in Chromium itself that should get fixed in future releases.

  3. Sushi says:

Some options would make it a perfect plugin. For instance, I don’t really like the way it makes that twitter bird ‘Red’ when a new tweet arrives. I should be able to customize whther I want it to turn red or not, or may be some other color perhaps.

    Other than that, its perfect.

  4. André Oliveira says:

    Very good extension 🙂

  5. Devon says:

Can you please update the change log?

  6. Devon says:

And maybe some extension image would be nice 🙂

  7. Ben says:

    woah woah woah
this just tried to update on me….
and Chrome warned me it wanted access to my browser history and private webpage data
    wtf cezarsa? please explain.

  8. pgkrzywy says:

I must say, that this extension is great 🙂 i now that its not some twitter client, but if in next versions you could add twitter lists support and some way to check people conversations or twitter search it would be no need to use client at all 🙂

  9. smore says:

    hi cezarsa,
v1.0.1 working as a charm, thank you! Wonderful work, just what we are used to =)

  10. Mortal2God says:

    Hi cezarsa

Thanks for the great extension it is working perfectly with no problems at all. I have a suggestion to make though. Will it be possible to leave the user open the links from the tweets in a tab without having to leave the extension? Either by right click or drag and drop?

  11. pgkrzywy says:

    yeah, rt option 😀
    one thing though:
is there chance to include your own post to @ list in Bird? because i got replies, and want to see for which twitt it was 😉

  12. pgkrzywy says:

    sorry, send to fast ;
i know that @mentions are just like in twitter website, i would prefer it different mysefl only 😉
anyway: when someone mention you from people you actually follow, you get number ‘2’ new tweets – one in timeline, one in @mention list, which is actually the same tweet.

  13. Amazing extension for Chrome for Twitter lovers. Absolutely applaud the work done on this extension is a must-have for my Chrome setup.

  14. hellwen says:

    Hi,

Plugin looks great. Installed it. but I’m unable to find the chrome bird icon to the side of the address bar, but chrome://extensions shows it as installed. And there’s no change even if I reload. I’m using chrome 4.0+ dev build in linux. Thanks!

  16. kuber says:

Can you please add the option of “Add to fav” in this.

  23. TinoGo says:

It would be really good if there is an option that bird-twitter won’t close when i press a link.
and also it would be really really good that collects twett’s and marks them unread when your computer/broswer is shuted down!

  24. JBantha says:

I just don’t stop getting this error:

“Unexpected error “Not found”(Not Found) retweeting. Try again”

every time i try to Re-tweet, it does not matter how much I try it…

any possible cause, solution, help over here? ^^ thanks

    i love your extension

  25. JD says:

have gotten this error every time i try to sync my twitter account with chromed bird:

    Woah there!
This page is no longer valid. It looks like someone already used the token information you provided. Please return to the site that sent you to this page and try again … it was probably an honest mistake.

and i can’t get a manual pin either. i’ve never seen one. looks good, just wish i could get it to work.

  26. Rudolf says:

Is there any way for me to add

    http://twitrp.com/asu/?module=ShortURL&file=Add&mode=API&url=

    as an extra url shortener?

    How can I do this?

  27. erlika says:

  29. Erin says:

Is there away that this extension can support viewing two twitter accounts at once?

  30. Frank says:

Great extension. 1 small thing though: is it possible to make the menu collapse when you click the ‘Mark all as read’-button?

  31. JonnyP says:

First and foremost this twitter extension is really easy to use and works great in chrome. I really like how all the tweets hang out in there … just in case I want to go back and read something. I do have a question … is there a way to have a tweet lose it’s color if it’s been read? Meaning the blue color in Unified, goes to white when I read that tweet.

  32. Jon Fredrik Fikse says:

    Hello,
When trying to start Chromed Bird I get the following message:

    ***
ouch.. Something bad happened to Chrome Bird while calling
Twitter’s API. Request token response: undefined.

This problem is probably due to incorrect date and time settings in
your operating system. Please, review your settings and try again.

I run Windows XP with Norwegian date and time settings. It should be quite normal.
    Please advice
