nice, i like it. add the ability to save the fullsize version and i’m sold.
Great extension have been looking for something like this for a while, however it’s kind of buggy.
Moving the cursor, while pressing down the ALT, CTRL or SHIFT activate key, on to an image will activate the preview window just fine. But when already hovering over the image and then pressing the ALT, CTRL or SHIFT activate key will only sometimes activate the preview window, and for the most part, it doesn’t.
Having a preview window open wile hovering over an image and releasing the ALT activate key will make the preview window stay in place, even when moving the cursor away from the image. This is making the user unable to for example scroll and the preview window will only disappear after a click. However this is not always the case. Sometimes it disappears. This seems to be connected to how times the ALT activation key has been pressing down in a row – making every second time work properly.
I also found that when previewing larger images on for example google, the preview window is there, but the image refuses to load. Works after a couple of tries though. This can be a problem from my side.
Hope this helps.
i think it should be like Alwitt’s Facebook Enhancer, no button gust the mouse hover
You can set it to just mouse hover. After further use i do have some more tweak suggestions. like if the image size is the same as the preview size don’t display the box, I’m getting a lot of images popping up in facebook, but they’re all tiny and the same size as ones already displayed. that shouldn’t be more than a few lines of code to fix.
The problem with the ALT key and is used to enable the menu of any browser.
If you try to press the down arrow you will see that it will display the menu of chrome.
All problems related to the Alt key then is to be carried forward to that.
I inserted the control on image size.
You can not enable the preview after it is over the image because the Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys are accessories.
By saving the image is a bit difficult to try to find a solution.
maybe update (the preview should be bigger or actual size of image)
This contains code from another extension: “Facebook Beautifier” or something like that. It changes facebook without telling you.
Nice! Please add an option to make it work only in Google image search. I dont need it elsewhere…
Could you support the link where the thumbnail doesn’t exist?
This is one of my favorite extensions for Iron/Chrome, although it’d be nice if it could be used to view the full size of images after the link the image is pointing to, like with 4Chan.
One more thing I think should be added is the ability to turn off the image preview text at the top, I already know the preview window is a preview window, why does it need to waste space telling me it every time I use it? You could even turn it off by default and have an idiot checkbox someone could click if they really need it.
