Wow works great, 100% thumbs-up the MP3 funtion is pretty awesome.

  4. T.F. says:

…I wrote my review too soon…
It redirects you to a mp3 search?
    Sorry, but, that’s just… wrong.

  5. Youtube says:

T.F. that is the ONLY way to get MP3 out of a youtube videos, you can try YoutubeDroid.com if you don’t want to search for the mp3 first (which provides better quality BTW), it’s your choice take it or leave it :)

  6. T.F. says:

In fact, not exactly. I don’t know if it undoable for a simple extension, but you can split the audio (demuxing, if I’m not wrong) with other softwares. It’d be really really convenient if that could be done directly from the browser, but it seems I’ll still have to go and open another software to rip the mp3 track. =/

  7. Like Angel said, she’s right having that low bit rate also comes with low kind of quality!

  9. Youtube says:

Exactly, you will need an executable file on your computer to do that and I guess Google Chrome does not allow doing that as of now, also, conversion will take your computer resources and with this extension directing you to YoutubeDroid.com you get the mp3 directly from video without investing your CPU resources.

The mp3bubble.com search algorithm is being tweaked and we will be able to get a perfect working site within few days.

    Thanks

  10. Pipo says:

Thanks, works great! Just one thing, when there’s a video available in 720p and 1080p, how can I choose the 720p version? It will only let me download the Full HD (1080p) version…

  14. 1ndr4 says:

  16. IanO says:

I assume that using the developer ID “youtube” is a flick at Google for refusing to authorise this extension for the official gallery.

Oh well, there is some need for it and it works just fine.

  30. SA says:

Okay, I’m not getting this or I’ve missed something.

The quality and resolution of the downloaded videos I’m getting with this extension is so bad that it’s the size of an ugly flatted postage stamp.

I’m on Daily Motion now, and I’m watching some high-res vids that I’ve download horrible, super low resolutions. What’s am I doing wrong here? How can I change this? If this is the way it’s suppose to be than this sux!

  31. tangcyromeo says:

Hope it can help me to download youtube files conveneiently

  32. tangcyromeo says:

    It’s not better than TubeMaster

  33. Warchylde says:

    reinstalled chrome working now

  34. Gummi says:

I think this extension is spectacular, but you might want to add an option to set a certain file download type as default, and that would be a nice, well-see-able button, with the other file types a bit less see-able.
It’d also be nice to auto-generate a name on the file download by title of video on YT. :)

  35. chepe263 says:

I don’t wanna be mean but it doesn’t work. It just sucks! definitly am keepin’ firefox. Way better. Also, i can’t install Chrome in Ubuntu. It’s just really sucks!
