   The firefox extension has been update to v3.0: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10137

   This version DOES work with the new YouTube design. Can one of you developers get on porting that one? (I would but I have NO developing knowledge =P)

   It is really confusing, that it doesn’t work, for the new layout update.

   Clearly it does work.. see every post above you.

   Chrome also DOES work for Ubuntu. Google released a beta deb sometime ago that works flawlessly. Furthermore, the development sources have worked for well over a year.

   So… removing all other things from the equation it looks like youre the one that sucks.

   Rubbish! Of course you can install Chrome in Ubuntu. Easy as hitting the install button from the Chrome download page.

   This was a great app. But like most such apps it need to be constantly updated as the Youtube site frequently changes.

   I have installed it but nothing has happened. how do i use this?nothing has appeared on my browser or on youtube and i can’t do anything from my extensions menu. what gives?

    Thank you for the amazing extension
    But how can I know what is the original version which has been uploaded at the first place?
    I mean there are FLV, MP4, MP3 & 3GP. Is that mean that the extension can convert online and give me the desired choice?

    Just want to know if in the future you might add the possibility of grabbing the name of the video when downloading instead of just “video” or “videoplayback?

    Hi all!

    everybody here is saying that this works for the new youtube layout.

    and before i post a comment saying : THIS DOESNT WORK PLEASE HELP!

    i simply need instructions on how to use this on the new youtube layout.

    I modified it to work with present version of Youtube. Today YT changed something and original 2.0 don’t work.

    Can you upload it again. Take another site. Only 10 people can download fron rapidshare.
    Upload it on http://www.speedyshare or http://www.sendspace.com or http://www.megaupload.com insted.

    Cyr4x, if you upload to rapidshare you have to create a collectors account. otherwise only 10 downloads are possible.limit is reached. please create a collectors account!

    This is awesome but it does not work on HTML 5 Player.

    Hello,

    This is currently the only one Youtube downloader that works with new Chrome’s dev builds and new Youtube layout.

    Just one suggestion: when I click the .FLV option, it’ll download the 380p or 480p? I need 480p in .FLV!
