This is an extension developed for Google Chrome, Chromium, and other Chromium-based browsers to add a button to the YouTube video page to download the video. It is designed to look native; as though the button was put in there by the YouTube team. It is built using the user script at http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25105 . It will be updated as new releases of the user script are released. The extensions is built to automatically update.

Hi, this works great, even with youtubes new lame update as of November 3 (why, oh why did youtube have to do ANOTHER pointless update on MY BIRTHDAY of all days?!), I wholeheartedly recommend it.
So far, this is the best youtube downloader.
You can choose format and resolution saved file.
And, the most important… it works

Dude this tool is really good. Simple but it does what it’s supposed to do.
Adds a ‘Download’ dropdown just below the video you’re watching allowing you to choose MP4 or FLV download. Download then proceeds in the usual humdrum Chrome manner. It works. That’s all.

Just wanted to let everybody know that this extension is working great for me at the time of writing! I need to grab a client’s video off of YouTube for a project and the extension allowed me to do so. Thank you!
