Makes the compose box larger than standard 260px (especially helpful when replying). Click ‘options’ to choose your size. Visit http://willshouse.com/gmail-chrome-compose-resize for more info. Also, this is on a 5 second timer, so be patient if the box is not larger instantly.

    I don’t get it.

    Why would you create this extension if you can just drag&resize ANY input box in Chrome?

    Znuff: You probably don’t get it because you’ve never tried to resize GMail’s compose box ;)

    Hm.. but why an extension, sir? Isn’t a quick UserScript enough? And it’s not eating as much memory as an extension? Don’t get me wrong, I very much appreciate this extension :)

    @Znuff – For some reason chrome’s built-in resize any textarea feature does not work in gmail’s compose box. (thanks br-amm)

    @The Truth – Chrome’s extensions are basically greasemonkey scripts anyhow. Packaging it as an extension will allow for easy updates as well as an options page.

    oh man i was so hopefull at first, for a while I’ve been looking for an extension or some way to change the gmail compose window height. It is annoying when reading/writing long mails/drafts.

    I do have the latetest version of Chrome (.0.249.64 (Build officiel 35722) beta). But it doesn’t seem to do anything. I am (unfortunately) on windows. Is this extension only for Linux?

    Does not resize once a compose has been saved as a draft? Re-opening that window shoes the default 260px box.
